Position: General Manager of MWGC & Head Coach of MG Program
Qualifications:

Martin has Level 2 MG Coaching Accreditation and was awarded the 2007,2009 & 2010 MAG Development coach of the year.At the recent NSW Awards dinner Martin was awarded a Merit Award for distinguished services to Gymnastics NSW in the order of 5 years. Martin has also recently aquired his Kinder gym accreditation.

Experience:

Martin has been involved with gymnastics all his life, first as a gymnast and then as a coach. Martin has produced many State & National Champions. In 2001, 2002 & 2003 Martin was named Australian Mens Levels Coach of the Year.

Natalie has been in gymnastics for the past 23 years. She began gymnastics at age 5 and moved onto coaching at age 16.

Vanessa started gymnastics at 3 years old in the UK and finished competing at aged 14.  From gymnastics Vanessa has been able to excel and / or compete at many sports (surfing, squash, snowboarding, mountain biking, skiing, sailing and horseriding.)  She has represented university and UK county as well as New South Wales at the National Hockey Championships in 2010 and 2011.  She was an Australian Shadow player for Hockey in 2011.

Vanessa started working for MWGC in October 2009.  Prior to this, she had her own business specialising in Kindergym and Juniorgym and has brought many business and sports skills to MWGC.

Coaching Experience:
1988-present day Lu was brought to Australia where he coached at the AIS in Canberra and various other High Performance centers.
During Lu’s time in Australia, Lu has coached State, National and International Champion Gymnasts.

Lu is regarded as one of the top coaches in the country and it is a delight for Manly Warringah to have Lu on board.

Originally from Chinese National Team. Xiaoqing coached the Chinese National Team from 1996-2001 and took them to the 1999 World Championships in Tianjin of China (China – Team 3rd, Beam 1st, Bar 2nd, Floor 4th), 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney (China- Team 3rd, Beam 1st, Overall 3rd, Bars 2nd and 3rd, Floor 4th and 5th), and 2001 Good Will Games in Brisbane ( China- Beam 1st).

Name: Dominique Johnson
Position: WG Coach

Level 1 coach, completing my certificate III and IV in fitness, certificate III in sport and recreation, WAG intermediate and intermediate bronze judge.

Dominique is now completing her third year at coaching:
 
•         She was a level 10 gymnast in 2007 who competed at nationals on the Queensland team.
•         She placed 3rd on beam and 4th on vault in 2006 at the NDP Level 9 National Championships.
•         She won the Border Challenge completion in level 8 in 2005. 
•         She was the Queensland Champion on vault in level 8, level 9 and level 10 

Dominique coached semi competitive gymnasts at Delta gymnastics in 2008 (this is the club she was competing for from NDP level 5 to 10.)    Then moved to Ferny Hills at the start of 2009 where she coached the senior group, competitive NDP levels 4 to 6.

10 years coaching experience, 8 years with the MWGC. The highlight of her own gymnastic career was her participation in the British Amateur Gymnastics Association 100th Anniversary Display at Wembley Arena in 1988.

Amelia compete in Artistic Gymnastics for 8 years at Cromer Gymnastics Glub.  She competed at a State and National Leve,l from Level 1 to 8.

In 2006 Amelia and her sister, Tamsin Eadie started acrobatics as a Level 6 Womens Pair and won the State Championships.


In 2007 they competed in Level 8 and again won the State and National Championships. 
At the end of 2007 they won the Sports Acrobatics Elite Team of the Year

Highlights as a gymnast were competing at National Clubs and Nationals.  Rhys was Tricking for a couple years and has recently returned back to MAG with the Masters Competitions.

Rhys enjoys coaching a huge variety from Recreation to both MAG and WAG levels programs.

Sammy competed WG NDP Level 10 in 2006. During her time as a gymnast, she competed in State, National and International competitions and won many awards.

In recent years, Sammy has been competing on the National circuit for Sprint Flat-water Kayaking. She is also involved in Cross fit, surfing and Surf Life Saving.

Tahnee has been a gymnast for 12 years now.  In artistic gymnastics she competed for MWGC from level one right up through to level 8 where she competed for NSW in 2008 at the National Championships.  
Tahnee travelled to Hawaii at the beginning of 2008 and represented MWGC in a fun international competition and came 6th all around. 
Tahnee currently trains for level 9 acrobatics.  In 2009 she competed in level 4 and her trio came 1st at state, last year (2010) she competed in level 6 and came 3rd at state and carried on through to National Championships and came 4th.

Tamsin is in her final year of Univertisty studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and is going to Kenya in November to volunteer teach.

Tamsin was an Artistic Gymnast for 9 years and competed Level 1 - 8 at both State and National Level.
At the age of 15, she  switched to Sports Acrobatics where Amelia (her sister) and she competed in a Level 6 pair, winning State Championships. The following year they competed Level 8/9 where they won both State and Nationals and were chosen in 2007 to be the NSW Elite Team of the Year.

Wendy commenced coaching at Manly Warringah Gymnastics in 2008 and Judging in 2009.  Since that time she has coached Boys Recreation, Boys Pre-Levels and Boys Level 2 - 4 Competitive Squad.  Wendy is a mother of 2 active boys who have enjoyed gymnastics from an early age.  She became involved in gymnastics after seeing the many benefits the sport provides in the development of children.  After enjoying a career in marketing, she is now a teacher and helps prepare the boys gym squad at her school for the yearly IPSHA Gymnastics Competition.
