Representing Australia, the team delivered an outstanding result to finish ? 3rd overall, standing on the podium against some of the world’s best. Individually, Lucy was exceptional, qualifying for both Beam and Floor Finals — a fantastic achievement at one of the premier events on the international calendar. The DTB Pokal brings together some of the top gymnasts from around the world, with competition held in Stuttgart from 19–22 March. We are incredibly proud to see Lucy representing MWGC and Australia with such strength, composure, and consistency on the international stage. ? The MWGC Club Spirit Awards recognise something truly special — the athletes who lift everyone around them and embody what it means to be part of the Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club family. ❤️ Congratulations to our 2025 Club Spirit Award winners: ? WAG – Everleigh Roth Everleigh is a bright light in our gym. She brings energy, kindness and positivity to every training session, always going out of her way to make others feel welcome and valued. Whether celebrating birthdays, cheering on teammates or greeting everyone with a smile, she helps create the supportive culture that makes MWGC so special. ? MAG – William “Roffy” Rothfield After suffering an injury at the end of 2024, Roffy was unable to compete during the 2025 season. But that didn’t stop him showing up for his team. He continued coming into the gym for rehabilitation, stayed connected with his teammates, and was always there to cheer the boys on at competitions. His resilience, loyalty and positive attitude make him a true example of the spirit of MWGC. Welcome to Carnival! We’re excited to officially launch our new Recreational Carnival & Showdown series in 2026, designed as a fun and inclusive extension of our recreational gymnastics pathway. These events are all about giving our recreational athletes the opportunity to perform, grow in confidence, and showcase their skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Term 1 & 3 – Recreational Carnival (Individual-Based) Our first event kicks off on: Sunday 22nd March 12:00pm–3:00pm The Recreational Carnival focuses on individual participation. Athletes perform independently and are recognised for their personal skills and progress. It’s a fantastic way to build confidence, independence and pride in their achievements. Term 2 & 4 – Recreational Showdown (Team-Based) Later in the year, our Showdown events will shift the focus to teamwork and collaboration. Athletes will work together in teams to complete routines and challenges, promoting connection, encouragement and club spirit. Further dates and details for each term will be shared closer to the events.
